Joanne & Jim Rich,
“TEXAS, there is always room for more!”
“Come and join the fun”
The Texas Good Sam Chapters is our State organization and is affiliated with The Good Sam Club. Our membership is made up of people throughout the State of Texas, as well as a few out of state members. Our Chapters are divided into various areas in which an Assistant State Director (ASD) is assigned, under the direction of the State Director, to handle various tasks related to those respective chapters. It is not necessary that you reside in the area of which the individual chapter is based. There are chapters located all over the state and each one is unique. We also have chapters with special interests that may only meet once a year at the Rally, or just a few times a year. Membership in one or more of our chapters will provide you with an excellent opportunity to meet regularly with a group of fellow RV’ers that share the love of camping, fun and fellowship.
Most chapters meet on weekends to accommodate members who are still in the workforce, however there are some who meet mid-week and made up mostly of retirees. Some camp in full service RV parks with a meeting room and some camp in state and county parks. In addition to chapter meetings, campouts and extended travel adventures, our members meet once a year for our Texas State RV Rally which includes chapters from throughout the state and many folks from several other states. It is a great opportunity to get together for fun and fellowship with a larger number of RV’ers, usually 250 plus rigs. In addition to the Texas State RV Rally, some ASDs will host an annual Area Mini-Rally for more fun, fellowship, games and entertainment. Please take a few minutes and browse through our website and get a better overview of what Texas Good Sams have to offer. If you have any questions or desire further information about joining one of our chapters, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will put you in touch with a choice of chapters in your general area. Jim and I look forward to meeting you either at a chapter campout, a mini-rally, a Texas State RV Rally, or just on the road somewhere. Look for the Good Sam logo on RVs and stop and say Hello! You may make a new friend for life.
